Bye bye headhones! Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has revealed that the brain chip implants developed by his neurotechnology startup company Neuralink, will allow users to stream music directly intro their brains.
The billionaire entrepreneur has been dropping hints about the capabilities of his mysterious new brain-computer interface technology.
In a conversation with a computer scientist in Twitter on July 19, Musk confirmed that his Neuralink implantable chip could be used to play music directly in users’ brains.

It would be like having Spotify or Deezer app inside the head. Users will be able to control external devices with their brain.
Elon Musk’s Neuralink chip will also be used to treat medical and mental health issues
The aim of Neuralink is to help humans understand, connect and interact with advanced artificial intelligence (it’s like a wireless connection between your brain and an external computer device), but this technology will be also useful to treat medical and mental diseases.
On another tweet, Musk confessed that Neuralink “would solve a lot of brain/spine issues”.
He also said that it could be useful for people suffering from mental disorders.
Following a question by another Twitter user, the Neuralink co-founder confirmed that it can be used to treat anxiety, depression or even addictions.
The startup was founded in 2016 and so far, what we know about Neuralink is that the first version of the brain implant is set to be ready “within a year”.
Last May, Musk gave a few more details on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
He revealed that this technology that would enable “symbiosis” between humans and AI could turn into a full brain interface within 25 years.
Updates on the progress of Neuralink will be given on August 28.
